Vendor mapping

In the BaseLinker catalog, you can assign a manufacturer to a product. The manufacturer database is common to all catalogs. The manufacturer information is synchronized during items synchronization, provided a default vendor has been assigned to the item.

Downloading BaseLinker manufacturers

The manufacturer list is stored in the Business Central database and should be downloaded first. If a new manufacturer is added, the operation must be repeated.

To download BaseLinker manufacturers:

1. Select the search icon in the upper right corner of Business Central, then type BaseLinker Setup and click the link.
2. Click on the button on the action bar Configuration mapping.
3. Find the configuration related to vendor mapping in the list and click on its code.
4. Click on the button on the action bar Show BaseLinker manufacturers.
5. Download the available manufacturers from the BaseLinker system by clicking on the Get Manufacturers action.

Mapping vendors with BaseLinker manufacturers.

To map items with BaseLinker categories:

1. Select the search icon in the upper right corner of the Business Central system, then type BaseLinker Setup and click the link.
2. Click on the button on the action bar Configuration mapping.
3. Find the configuration related to vendor mapping in the list and click on its code.
4. Assign to the selected vendors proper manufacturers by entering its code in the BaseLinker Manufacturer ID field.

Note

You do not need to assign manufacturers to every vendor. Assign a manufacturer only to those vendors whose items is to be sent to BaseLinker.
