Language codes mapping

In order to properly handle foreign customers and item translations, it is necessary to correctly map the two-letter BaseLinker language codes with the three-letter language codes in Business Central.

Customer language code

When creating a new customer card in Business Central, the system will try to assign the language code based on the entered mapping of the two-letter customer country code.

To map two-letter customer country codes with Business Central language codes:

  1. Select the search icon Search in the upper right corner of the Business Central system, then type BaseLinker Setup and click the link.
  2. Click the Configuration Records Mapping button on the action bar.
  3. Find the configuration related to language codes mapping in the list and click on its code.
  4. Find the three-letter language code of the Business Central system in the list.
  5. Assign the customer country code to the language code by entering its two-letter value in the BL Customer Language Code Filter field.
Note

If you want to assign multiple country codes to the same language code, enter them separated by commas, e.g. SK,CZ,DE,UK.

Item translations

To map BaseLinker item translation language codes with Business Central:

  1. Select the search icon Search in the upper right corner of the Business Central system, then type BaseLinker Setup and click the link.
  2. Click the Configuration Records Mapping button on the action bar.
  3. Find the configuration related to language codes mapping in the list and click on its code.
  4. Find the three-letter language code of the Business Central system in the list.
  5. Assign the BaseLinker language code to the language code by entering its two-letter value in the BaseLinker Language Code field.
