Logs of interactions with BaseLinker
Depending on the data logging settings in BaseLinker Settings under Logs, the system can record every interaction with BaseLinker as an event log. The functionality is particularly useful if there are problems with data synchronization.
To change the data logging configuration:
- Select the search icon
in the upper right corner of Business Central, then type BaseLinker Setupand click the link. - Go to the Logs section.
- Set the following options:
- Logging On - saves every interaction with BaseLinker,
- Save JSONs - saves every request and response to/from BaseLinker as JSON files,
- Show error messages - if checked, every error on the BaseLinker side will be displayed in Business Central as a message.
View and handle BaseLinker log records.
To access BaseLinker log records:
- Select the search icon
in the upper right corner of Business Central, then type BaseLinker Log Entriesand click the link.
To export/search JSON files:
- Navigate to BaseLinker log records.
- Select the desired log record.
- Expand the button on the action bar Export JSON files.
4 Select one of the options:
- Export JSON files - exports BaseLinker's request and response JSON files as zipped ZIP files,
- Show Request JSON - opens the built-in JSON file viewer with the request file loaded,
- Show Response JSON - opens the built-in JSON file viewer with the loaded response file.
To delete BaseLinker log records:
- Navigate to BaseLinker log records.
- Click on the button in the action bar Delete logs and confirm the action.
